Williamsburg's best Mexican food. Good, fast, and cheap.
Casa Maya breaks a cardinal rule of dining in Williamsburg. Route 60 bisects the city. And Route 60 is lined with restaurants. Many are chains, and they're okay, as far as chains go. The rest are local. And most of them are less than good places to eat. Casa Maya is the exception.
It's housed in what used to be a Denny's. The change was quite an upgrade, cuisine-wise.
The food is great. Rich, but not too heavy. The service is lightning fast and very friendly. And the prices? How can they stay in business? You end up tipping 30% just so you're leaving more than a couple bucks.
Other Mexican restaurants in Williamsburg aren't horrible, but they don't measure up to Casa Maya.
