It's just a big grocery store, but local folks swear by it.
Nice, upscale, if somewhat supersized grocery store founded by Richmonders. Ukrop's is more than groceries. There's also a dry cleaners, bank, florist, bakery, and a cafe with a ridiculously extensive selection--sushi, pizza, cookies, coffee, etc. The upstairs dining area offers wi-fi and a spectacular view of the parking lot. (If only we could remember if we parked on Strawberry Lane, the fried chicken aisle, or the Goofy Lot! (Honestly, that's how they name the rows in the lot.)
Closed Sundays, because the owners are Christian. (Can't buy beer there either. Same reason.)
